STAR RIDE KIDS, INC. vows to help SAVE THE EARTH™!
New trends toward eco-friendly lifestyle have become too important to ignore.

New York, NY  January 25, 2008 – The eco friendly movement has a new ally in the New York based children’s apparel company, Star Ride Kids, Inc.  By joining forces with Save the Earth Enterprises, Inc., Star Ride Kids hopes to bring compassion to kids’ fashion.

Set to hit department stores, mid-tier chains and specialty retailers for Holiday ’08, the Save the Earth collection by Star Ride Kids, Inc. will launch in Onesies and Tees for girls and boys sizes Newborn – 20 and expand to Sportswear.  The collection will encompass only organically grown and produced fabrics with recycled hangtags and hemp or other natural fiber care labels.  In addition to using only organic fabrics with recycled and/or hemp tags, a portion of all the sales of the Save the Earth collections will be donated to the Save the Earth Foundation for environmental research and education.

“Save the Earth is happy to announce the licensing of Star Ride Kids,” said Neal Pargman, Founder of Save the Earth Foundation.  “We wanted to find a kids clothing company that shared our values about the environment and they told us they wanted to introduce a line of organic cotton Tees and sportswear for kids with the Save the Earth message.  The timing couldn’t have been better because we feel the program should be kicked off with the kids (new born & up) who are inheriting the earth.”

“In recent years, eco-friendly organic products have become more important to us as a company entity, our employees and to the consumers who buy our clothing at retail,” said Tea English, Director of Marketing for Star Ride Kids, Inc.  “In my eco-conscious research, I have learned that the Save the Earth symbol is a message to help promote earth survival and our launch of Organic Onesies, Tees and Sportswear is one very important illustration of our shift in focus to make a positive impact and help Save the Earth for our kids’ future.”

Organically growing and producing cotton is done at a much higher premium to manufacturers than that of conventionally grown cotton.  But, conventionally growing and harvesting one pound of cotton fiber, needed to make on T-shift, takes an enormous toll on the earth’s air, water, and soil which impacts global health.  Every pound of cotton harvested can account for up to 25 percent of all the pesticides used in the U.S.; and in developing countries, where regulations are less stringent, the amount of herbicides and insecticides and their toxicity is often greater.

By sourcing out organically produced cotton, Star Ride Kids hopes to create more demand with cotton producers which will increase the number of organic cotton farmers.  As this demand by manufacturers increases for organic cottons, the supply will follow suit and in turn bring down the production cost of organically produced fabrics.
